About the Proprietor: Rakesh Shrivastava
Born at Allahabad and educated in University of Allahabad. Life in this city on the banks of the Ganga and a hub of Indian literature, art and culture, played a major role in shaping his personality, inducing in him the passion for acting and film-making. He later joined the prestigious repertory of Shri Ram Centre for Arts and Culture and the Little Theatre Group, Delhi. Was associated with Shivendra Sinha, veteran Film Director, in the film Phir Bhi, and took up the Nehru Fellowship Project on Contemporary Visual Media in Television. He also formed a group for performing arts, ‘Machan’ and a production house for films, Eye Catcher Films, at Delhi and Mumbai.
He later established his own theatre group in Delhi and concentrated on work for children; He has organized a number of theatre workshops in different cities of India. Finally He began to concentrate on film direction and his work as an art director, screen play writer, music composer and as a visiting teacher in universities like Allahabad University UP, International Mahatma Gandhi Hindi University Vardha (Maharashtra). |
